The course is an all-terrain race including mud holes, walls, trenches, and other obstacles that require crawling, climbing, jumping and determination.
Some people come to COMPETE, many just come to COMPLETE!

In 2010, a man brought a vision to his local Marine Corps League...Let's do a mud run to raise money for our local chapter, as well as various other programs. That dream came alive with the help of dedicated staff and volunteers.
The first event exceeded all expectations with 1500 runners participating and over 20 sponsors signing up to be part of a historic event. People have come from all across the US to participate in this event. Fun, Family, and Friends have dominated the event for it's first three years.
The annual event was created to raise money, awareness, and support for Marines and their families around Winston-Salem, NC and across the nation who have been wounded or killed while serving on active duty. Profits from the Mud Run are also used to support: The Wounded Warrior Project, Toys for Tots, USMC Youth Program, and Veterans Helping Homeless Veterans Heal.
Thank you for your support of the NC Marine Mud Run!
