When is the NC Marine Mud Run?
Saturday, June 1st, 2013.

What is the Pollywog run?
The Pollywog Mud Run is for anyone under the age of 12 (however, with a parent's signature, kids in this age group could run the full 5K Mud Run). The distance is close to 3/4 mile and includes crossing a creek, rope climb up a steep/muddy hill, running through woods, mini mud pit, tire run, 3 walls from 2 to 4 feet high, and of course the really big mud pit finale! (Course is subject to change). There is also an optional shorter run. A lot of parents run with their small children to motivate and help them. All children receive an award just for participating.

Who will be benefitting from this run?
The NC Marine Mud Run raises funds for the Wounded Warriors program at Camp Lejeune, the USMC Youth Foundation Program, and Toys for Tots.

When will the race start?
Individual races start at 8 am.

Pollywogs start at 9:30 am.

Team races start at 10:15 am.

When can I register?
Registration is open through May 26,2013. Click on the registration tab for all the details.

Will there be race day registration?
Yes! Registration fees on race day will be $40 for individuals, $20 for pollywogs, and $160 for teams.

Do you allow refunds or team substitutions?
No refunds are allowed. This is an event for charity. If you need to make any team substitutions, just bring your substitute with you on race day with their signed waiver.

What time do I need to check-in?
All racers must check-in no later than an hour before the scheduled start time. Teams must check-in at the SAME time. Early check-in will be available

What if it rains?
GREAT! The muddier, the better!

Will teams have to finish the race at the same time?
Yes....The rules state that all 4 runners must cross the finish line holding hands or with arms interlocked. Any team not coming across the line together, will not be eligible for any awards.

Can we wear costumes in the run?
Yes! We encourage you to get as creative as you want. Remember, this is a rated G event. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Prizes will also be awarded for team names!!!

How much does it cost for parking?
Parking is free.

How much does it cost to get into the event just to watch?
Nothing! We encourage guests to attend - even the furry ones.

Will I get a tshirt as a runner?

Will there be food and drinks available?
There will be water and fruit available to the runners free-of-charge.

Will there be entertainment?
DJ Chris Pangalos of Rolling Thunder Productions will be providing our music for the event.

Will there be photos taken?
Yes. McDilda Photography will be taking our race-day photos. Photos will be available for purchase via mcdildaphotography.com.
